Quick start guide for your softphone

This guide will jumpstart your experience with your Webex Calling solution and your softphone. It's designed to be user-friendly and boost communication across the board. It will help you work more efficiently - from virtually anywhere.

Step 1: Log in to the user portal for the first time

Once your administrator has set you up as a user, you will receive an email to access User Hub. Follow these steps to log in for the first time:

  1. Click on the link from the email or the link provided to you by your administrator.
  2. You will be prompted to create a new password.
  3. From your browser, log in to User Hub.
  4. Proceed to enter your email address.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Enter your password in the designated field and click Sign in.
  7. You will be brought to the User Hub dashboard.

Step 2: Change your calling settings

You can manage settings and features directly in the Webex Calling app; however, you can access more functionality in User Hub, such as voicemail notifications, contact management, call history, and more.

  1. Log in to User Hub.
  2. Select Settings > Calling.
  3. Under calling you can enable or disable all your calling features.

Step 3: Download the desktop and/or mobile App

You can get Webex App for your computer or mobile device. You can also access it via a web browser, if needed. Install it on multiple devices and switch between them hassle-free. Your content stays in sync because everything is stored in the cloud.

  1. Log in to User Hub.
  2. Click Downloads.
  3. Click Download under Webex App.
  4. This brings you to https://www.webex.com/downloads.html, where you can download the Webex app. Your platform should automatically be detected. 
  5. Click Download.
  6. Once downloaded, launch the installer and follow the instructions on the screen.
