The Receptionist client is now configurable in Control Hub. This guide reviews the steps an administrator can take to assign and configure the Receptionist client within Control Hub.
Introduction
Receptionist is an Internet Protocol (IP) Telephony Attendant Console, specifically developed for hosted environments. It is used by “front-of-house” receptionists or telephone attendants, who screen inbound calls for enterprises. The Receptionist client realizes the promise of IP telephony by enhancing business processes and delivering rich services in a user-friendly way.
Assigning the Receptionist Client
- From Control Hub, go to the Users tab.
- Select the user you would like to assign the Receptionist Client to.
- Select Calling and then Advanced Call Settings.
- Select Receptionist Client.
- To enable, select the toggle.
- Select the users or workspaces that can be monitored by this user within the Receptionist client.
- Select Save to save your changes.
View/Export a List of Receptionist Clients
Once the Receptionist client has been set up and assigned to at least one user, you can view the list of all Receptionist clients in the Services/Features area of Control Hub.
- From Control Hub, select the Calling tab.
- Select Features.
- Select Receptionist Client from the top menu.
- Here is the list of users assigned a receptionist for this location.
- To export the list, select Export.
Note: You may be prompted to select a Location prior to seeing the users assigned a reception.
