Introduction
You can use your phone, Webex Settings, and the Webex App to manage your voicemail messages and settings. These settings will sync between applications when saved.
Available Voicemail Features
Depending on what you're doing, you can use your phone, Webex Settings, and the Webex App App to manage your voicemail messages and settings.
From your phone, you can:
- Record a personal greeting and change it at any time.
- Listen to, save, or delete your voicemail messages.
- Reset your voicemail PIN.
The passcode must meet the requirements set by your administrator.
From Webex Settings, you can reset your voicemail PIN.
Voicemail PIN Rules
Your voicemail PIN must meet the following requirements:
- Must be at least six digits long. Numbers only!
- Must not be any of your previous twenty-four PINs.
- Must not match the numeric representation of your first or last name.
- Must not contain your extension number.
- Must not contain single or groups of repeated digits (for example, 228883, 121212, or 408408).
- Must not be a numerical sequence (for example, 012345 or 987654).
- Must not contain numbers that are dialed in a straight line on the keypad.
Note: This number is a system setting.
Activate Your Voicemail Account
When you get your phone, you must complete a few steps to get your voicemail up and running. You can use the same steps to reset your PIN.
Before you begin, familiarize yourself with the rules for setting your voicemail PIN. Keep in mind that Webex users can't set up a second voicemail account.
- From Webex Settings, select Reset Voicemail Pin.
- Enter your New Voicemail PIN within the requirements.
- Re-enter your PIN in Confirm Voicemail PIN and click Save.
