As an administrator you can easily view, activate, remove and add phone numbers for an organization within Control Hub.
Note: Numbers must follow E.164 format for all countries, except for the US, which can also follow the National format. Depending on the country, the numbers are formatted according to local dialing requirements.
Add Phone Numbers
You can add up to 1,000 numbers. To add numbers in Control Hub, follow these steps:
- From Control Hub, select Calling from the left-hand navigation.
- Click Numbers.
- Select the Manage drop-down menu.
- Choose Add.
- From the Add Numbers screen, choose the location from the Location drop-down menu.
- To activate numbers later, toggle on Activate Numbers Later.
- Enter each phone number to be added, separating each by using a comma.
- Click Validate to save your changes. The new phone numbers appear in your numbers list.
Note: When this option is enabled, phone numbers are available for configuration immediately, but need to be activated by contacting your carrier directly. Enable this option if you are porting numbers over at a later time.
Note: Numbers are automatically validated when you add a comma or press Enter.
Note: Additional validation occurs after you click Save. For example, if a number being added already exists for the location, an error message appears, and you can't save. Remove any invalid numbers and click Save.

Note: The delete option is not available for phone numbers that are already assigned to users, workspaces, and features.
Move Phone Numbers Between Locations
Administrators can move phone numbers from one location to another in Control Hub. Before you move phone numbers, consider these prerequisites:
- Phone numbers must be unassigned. Phone numbers that are already assigned to a user, workspace, or location can’t be moved.
- Only phone numbers that are provided within the same country can be moved.
- Phone numbers must be provided by the same PSTN provided or provided by a local gateway.
To move phone numbers, follow these steps:
- From Control Hub, select Calling from the left-hand navigation.
- Click Numbers.
- Select the Manage drop-down menu.
- Click Move.
- Choose the location where you want to move numbers from and then click Next.
- Select the phone numbers you’d like to move.
- Click Move in the top navigation menu.
- Select the location where you want to move these numbers to.
- Click Move. The numbers begin to move and can be viewed in Task Manager.
If there are numbers that can’t be moved, you’ll receive an error, and it’s likely because one of the above prerequisites is not met.
Export a List of Phone Numbers
- From Control Hub, select Calling from the left-hand navigation.
- Click Numbers.
- Click the Manage drop-down menu.
- Select Export. A CSV file downloads.
Native Support for Toll-Free Numbers
Webex Calling supports inbound toll-free numbers in the US and Canada. You can assign toll-free numbers to your calling services like auto attendants, hunt groups, and call queues. You are also able to use a toll-free number as the outgoing calling line ID (CLID) for users, when making external calls.
The steps for adding and assigning toll-free numbers are the same as adding or assigning any other number. Once added, a helpful toll-free tag appears wherever the number appears in Control Hub. You can filter by Toll-free on the Numbers page in Control Hub.
